Dutch singer Trijntje Oosterhuis has announced that her tour will be rescheduled. Some of the concerts taking place later this year will be moved to a different date, as well as her big concert in the Heineken Music Hall on 18th December. The reason? Not because the tickets didn’t sell, no, there’s a baby on the way!
Trijntje, now 42 years of age, announced the news this morning. She’s expected to have the baby later this year, in December. It’ll be her first child with her partner Alvin Lewis. She already has two kids from her previous marriage, aged 10 and 8. Trijntje will move a part of her tour forward, as she said:
I’m really looking forward to this club tour, after which I’ll go on pregnancy leave. I’ll be back on the stage in February with the Ladies of Soul and I’m already looking forward to that.
Counting back the days, Trijntje was already pregnant on the Eurovision stage (December, so it must’ve been March). Maybe that’s why she wore the parachute… An early showing of maternity wear, as some already called it?
