German broadcaster NDR has announced this morning that Barbara Schöneberger will be the host for ‘Unser Song für Dänemark’. She will host both the pre-round next month, and the national final itself in March.
Furthermore, Schöneberger will also be the host of the Eurovision party at Hamburg’s Reeperbahn – from where the German votes are read. Tlaking about landing the role, Schöneberger said:
That I can host both the Club-concert, the German national selection, and the Eurovision countdown party this year is a huge honour for me. I’ve been a jury member in Unser Star für Oslo and Unser Song für Deutschland, and moderated the party at the Reeperbahn in 2013. I look forward to the show, because Eurovision is always a big event – of course not only musically, but in many ways such as clothes and hair to performance!
Das Gezeichnete Ich, Madeline Juno, MarieMarie, Oceana, Santiano, The Baseballs, Unheilig and one other will perform for the right to represent Germany in Copenhagen, with the national final taking place in Cologne at the Lanxess-Arena on 13 March.
