Just days before the second semifinal of Söngvakeppnin 2017, escXtra’s Wiv sat down with Aron Brink to have a quick chat about Eurovision, becoming a household name in Iceland, going from films to music, his dad…and much more!

Aron is a newcomer to Söngvakeppnin, but he started getting recognized already last year, when he took part in The Voice Iceland. He did however grow up surrounded by Eurovision, since both his dad, Sjónni Brink, and his step mom, Þórunn Erna Clausen, have taken part in Söngvakeppnin several times. They have also represented Iceland in Eurovision once; in 2011, with “Coming Home”

During our chat, Aron treated us to this beautiful version of “I’m Yours”, by Jason Mraz.

Here you can have a look and listen to the official video clip to “Þú hefur dáleitt mig”.

We wish Aron Brink the best of luck in tonight’s semifinal, and hope to see him in next week’s final of Söngvakeppnin!
