Eurovision Prediction🇲🇰 North Macedonia

YOU have predicted Lara Ivanova to win Za Evrosong 2022!

Will this be an easy win for our players?

Over the last past week, you have been submitting your predictions for the latest round of Eurovision Prediction 2022. You were asked to predict the winner of Za Evrosong. Now, let’s take a look at who you collectively expect to win the North Macedonian ticket to Turin!

The last time North Macedonia held a national final was 2014, when “Skopje Fest” was held to select their entry for Vienna. The winner was Daniel Kajmakoski with the song “Lisja esenski”, which later became “Autumn Leaves”. The song failed to qualify for the final after coming 15th with 26 points.

Last Friday, MRT released the six songs in contention to represent North Macedonia in Turin. Like the Czech Republic’s ESCZ, the release was accompanied by the launch of an online voting platform. The voting window is one week from the release of the songs – from 28th January at 22:00 CET until today (4th February).

Public votes will account for half of the final result, and the other half will be obtained from the votes of an international expert jury. The votes from the online voting and the votes of the international expert jury will be converted into points, according to the Eurovision voting principle (50:50).

The entries are as follows:

  1. Kaly – Love and Light
  2. Yon Idy – Dreams
  3. LARA – Flower of Sorrow
  4. Viktor Apostolovski – Superman
  5. Andrea – Circles
  6. Ris Flower – Flying To Berlin

Let’s take a look at who YOU predict they will choose!

During this round of Eurovision Prediction 2022, 316 of you have predicted who you think will take victory in North Macedonia. Without further ado, here are the entries that YOU have predicted to win in order of frequency, from most to least:

6Ris FlowerFlying to Berlin113.5

As the only statistics we have for Eurovision Prediction 2015 – the last time North Macedonia held a national final – are the overall results, consider this a clean slate!

Members of the ESCXTRA team may be disappointed by this result, as they selected Andrea’s “Circles” as their winner in our XTRA Decides feature.

After each national final, the points will be assigned and you will receive a rankings update via our Eurovision Prediction platform. Furthermore, we will make sure to notify you via our Eurovision Prediction Facebook page, our Eurovision Prediction Twitter page and here on the ESCXTRA website. The player that accumulates the most points after all the rounds have taken place will be crowned the winner of Eurovision Prediction 2022!

In 2021, our 363 prediction players predicted the correct national winners 7 out of 13 times. The year before, in 2020, 10 of out 27 times…an all-time low. To be fair, 2020 was a very unpredictable year in general. In 2019, our Eurovision Prediction players collectively predicted 16 out of 29 national final winners correctly. In 2018, your record was 19 out of 30.

So far…our players have correctly guessed 0 out of 3 national finals…but there’s still time to turn it around. So far, we count 25 national finals in total for 2022, so there will be PLENTY of points up for grabs!
