Eurovision winners?

Here’s Saara revealing the news herself below:

In the past few weeks, Saara Aalto has been teasing us with pictures from songwriting sessions. Just two weeks ago, Saara told us she was in Sweden to work with Eurovision winning composer Thomas G:son. Previously, was also working with composer Linnea Deb. It is unsure whether those songs have made it to UMK 2018, but one could take a guess that Saara has picked some of those.

Saara also stated that she believes her songs are quite good. She goes as far as thinking about Helsinki 2019…

All three songs are amazing, any of them could be Eurovision winning songs

Together with the songs, Saara Aalto will also release music videos for every one of the songs. They will all be published at midnight, Finnish time on the respective days we mentioned before: February 9th, 16th and 23rd.

Saara Aalto’s Eurovision story

Saara is no stranger to Eurovision related madness. Twice before has she tried to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest. Her last attempt was 2016 with No Fear. After that, she took the United Kingdom by storm after participating in X Factor there. Starting as the underdog, she finished in second place.

Reason enough for Finnish broadcaster YLE to ask her to fly her native Finnish flag in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The previously announced UMK 2018 was to be turned into a one woman national final, with three songs by Saara Aalto.
