Yesterday we had a day off from Eurovision birthdays. Today, however, we make up for that, returning with no less than eight! Two of them represented the same country…in the same year…but they’re not twins! Another made it all the way to third place. And yet another won the contest for France back in 1960. We give you Jacqueline Boyer!
Jaqueline Boyer, 77
Jacqueline Boyer represented France at the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest in London. She performed the song “Tom Pillibi”, winning the contest with 32 points.

Saskia, 71
Saskia, or Trudy van den Berg, represented the Netherlands at the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin. She did so along with her husband Serge. They finished 6th with their entry “Tijd”.
Georgina Abela, 59
Georgina represented Malta at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest in Rome. She performed the song “Could it be” alongside Paul Giordimaina, finishing in 6th place. This was her first Eurovision participation, however it was not her last. Just one year later, she returned, this time as the composer of “Little Child“. Then in 1996 she was one of the backing singers for the Maltese entry “In a Woman’s Heart“. Her latest participation was in 2001, whan she was the lyricist of “Another Summer Night“.
Halla Margrét, 54
Halla Margrét represented Iceland at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest in Brussels. She performed the beautful ballad “Hægt og hljótt”. She received 28 points, thus finishing in 16th place out of 22 participating countries.
Arash, 41
Arash represented Azerbaijan at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. He did so together with Aysel, performing the song “Always” in the second semi-final. They finished second in the semi, behind Alexander Rybak, thus sailing through to the grand final. There, they finished in third place, behind Alexander and Iceland’s Yohanna.
Georgi Yanev, 41 and Orlin Pavlov, 39
Georgi and Orlin represented Bulgaria at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. They did so as part of the band Kaffe, performing the song “Lorraine”. This was the country’s debut year, and they were very disappointed by finishing all the way down in 19th place, thus failing to qualify for the grand final.
Bo’az Ma’uda, 31
Bo’az Ma’uda represented Israel at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade. He performed the song “The Fire In Your Eyes”. He finished 5th in the first semi-final, thus earning the right to perform his song again in the grand final. There he received 124 point, thereby finishing in a very respectable 9th place.
