Following her victory in Eurovision in May, Netta Barzilai has been busy performing her winning song “Toy” all over Europe. Now, the promotion tour has extended itself all the way across the Atlantic!
The Today Show
On Tuesday, Netta made two very special appearances in the US. As ESCXTRA previously reported, her first performance of the day was on the notable morning talk show The Today Show on NBC. The show is highly popular and frequently visited by very well known music acts, so having a Eurovision winner perform there will definitely give some needed recognition to the contest!

Secondly, Netta paid Billboard a visit for a live performance that was broadcast live on Facebook. Billboard runs their own music charts, including the Billboard Hot 100 for singles, and Billboard 200 for albums. Previously Billboard reported on her Eurovision win, and “Toy” even made an appearance on their dance charts.

However, this wasn’t her first taste of American recognition. In June, Israel Day Parade was held on Times Square in New York City. The song was played all over the city square billboards, although she wasn’t there to perform the song herself.

Netta was the big favorite to win Eurovision from the moment she released “Toy”. Leading the odds up until Eurovision week itself, where Cyprus quickly passed her, some wondered if she was able to live up to the hype. Fortunately, “Toy” was victorious, marking Israel’s fourth win in the contest.
