🇮🇪 Ryan O’Shaughnessy releases new single ‘Permanent’

Ireland’s Eurovision 2018 representative Ryan O’Shaughnessy, have recently been cycling his way through Ireland for his charitable efforts. When his cycling throughout Ireland finished, he revealed that he did this in memory of his friend ‘Philip Dunne.

Upon the reveal of the artwork for ‘Permanent’, it was revealed that his friend would be the cover of his latest single.Ryan revealed that the track is a reflection on finding out his friend has passed away, and the realisation of how Permanent this is.

We of course all remember Ryan thanks to his touching performance in Lisbon earlier this year. With a little help from a bench and some amazingly synchronized dancers, he was hoping to spread the message of love and equality with his entry “Together”. 

The bookies weren’t too impressed, but he proved them all wrong by qualifying to the final, creating a chain of lights (Anita and Michele should be proud) and giving Ireland their best result in the contest since 2011. For a quick reminder, here’s the performance down below:
