One week already passed and many news happened in the Eurovision world! In our weekly summary, we’ll look back at the biggest news of the week. So even though you might have been busy this week, we’re here to keep you up-to-date.


Ukraine confirmed for Junior Eurovision! Making it 20!

Just last week the EBU announced the 19 countries, who will take part in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in November in Minsk. Now we got a big surprise as Ukraine was added to the line-up making it 20 (!!!) countries for this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest!

Do we see Wales and co in the contest soon?

After we now also have Wales to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after already taking part successfully in the Eurovision Choir Contest the EBU would also consider the UK taking part separately in the ESC!

EBU and Reference Group “would consider” allowing UK nations to compete separately…

TRT would come back to Eurovision, if the EBU “fixes” the contest!

Just today the news broke, that TRT would consider a return to the contest when the EBU would fix the competition! They have problems with the voting system and with “bearded woman” being broadcasted when children still watch TV…

“No plans” to invite Kazakhstan – says EBU

After announcing, that Kazakhstan would take part in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest, many asked, if they might also debut in the ESC. The EBU now released a statement about it, that they have “no plans” at the moment! Get the full story below.

KAN got more time to pay the deposit for the EBU in order to host the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Two more weeks, until we get more news. Our loved Lee Lin Chin is leaving the channel SBS. So we probably won’t see her anymore announcing the votes from down under. After performing on the “TODAY” show and on Billboard live “Toy” and Netta made it to the Billboard charts! Last but not least, Eurovision runner-up Eleni released the music video for her latest single Caramela!
