MRT is broadcasting Eurovision 2023 in North Macedonia

Back in October 2022, MRT – the national broadcaster of North Macedonia – announced their withdrawal from the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster has since announced that it will still be broadcasting this year’s contest.

Despite being among three broadcasters to withdraw from the contest ahead of Liverpool (along with Bulgaria’s BNT and Montenegro’s RTCG), North Macedonia’s MRT will be broadcasting the contest. All three shows will be broadcast on MRT1, the broadcaster’s principal channel. Commentary will be provided by Aleksandra Jovanovska and Eli Tanaskovska.

Fans tuning in from North Macedonia will be able to vote via the new Rest of the World vote.

Does this suggest that a return for the Balkan nation is on the cards, we certainly hope so!
