Our #ESC250 votes – Part 2: Vincent, Riccardo & Sami

#4 – 🇮🇪 Eimear Quinn – The Voice (Ireland 1996)

Celtic music and Celtic vibes are my thing, I know I already said it for Balkan music but you can love both! I call this song and Eimear’s voice hypnotizing. I say so because when I listen to this song I feel like I am taken away on a journey through the Irish countryside, riding a horse. And when a song has that effect on me. I love it.

#3 – 🇧🇬 Poli Genova – If Love Was A Crime (Bulgaria 2016)

“Oh day mi lyubovta” (or oh Martin Luther). My favourite line of 2016. Poli is a star, that’s the only way I can define her. And I am so glad she came back and got the result she was robbed of in 2011. This is song is perfection and it will remain in my playlist forever.

#2 – 🇦🇲 Iveta Mukuchyan – LoveWave (Armenia 2016)

Armenia is my Eurovision sweetheart. Honestly, I love almost all the entries the country sent and that’s because the ethnic element features frequently! But Iveta.. where do I begin describing my love for her? I think she is one of the best artists to walk through the Eurovision stage and “LoveWave” is a masterpiece. The intro already gets me hooked and the instrumental part towards the end is my favourite Eurovision moment of all times. I seriously can’t get enough of that moment. That alone, should have given Armenia their long overdue Eurovision victory. She may not have won, but Iveta forever won 2016 in my heart and I avidly continue to follow her and her amazing new tracks.

#1 – 🇧🇪 Loic Nottet – Rhythm Inside (Belgium 20105)

I have a special connection to this song. I can’t even describe it, but it’s there. I don’t know if it’s Loic’s quirky personality and amazing voice or if it’s the mysterious nature of the song. All I know is that this song is my all time favourite at Eurovision and I expect it to stay that way for a long while.
