🇷🇸 Hurricane to represent Serbia at Eurovision 2021

It’s Hurricane season again!

The trio were supposed to represent the balkan nation in Rotterdam in 2020 after winning the national final “Beovizija 2020” with the song “Hasta La Vista”. Unfortunately due to the Covid_19 pandemic it forsed the EBU to cancel the contest. Now today has brought us news all Hurricane fans have been waiting for. They are BACK!

Direct from RTS

The head of entertainment at RTS Olivera Kovačević spoke to local Serbian media 24sedam and gave solid confirmation that the trio will have their participation rolled over into 2021. Here is what was stated.

Hurricane will represent Serbia next year if Eurovision is held as announced. The song they will perform with will be chosen separately. They will not perform with this year’s song, but we will especially choose the song with which they will present themselves at Eurovision

We also got some information from the band themselves. Sanja Vučić also gave her reaction to the latest events. She said the following.

I’m really excited about this, but I can’t say anything more than that, because I still don’t know the details.

Of course Sanja is no stranger to Eurovision herself. This will be her third try for Serbia. Her first was in 2016 with the song “Goodbye (Shelter)” with ZAA. She of subsequently reached the final. Coming in 18th place with 115 points.

Please feel free to relive “Hasta La Vista”! It’ll certainly be interesting if their 2021 entry will be similar or will they explore a new sound.
