Aiko releases Eurovision version of “Pedestal”

Aiko has released the Eurovision version of her song “Pedestal”, with which she’ll represent Czechia this year in Malmö.

Following Aiko’s win at Czechia’s national selection, ESCZ, in November 2023, the Czech delegation announced that a revamped version would be in the works. The revamp only presents minor changes. Most notably, the line “Love me more than your bullshit” has been altered to “Love me more than you once did”, as no vulgar language is allowed according to Eurovision rules. The musical arrangement also shows some small differences.

Aiko will be performing the new version of “Pedestal” at pre-parties in Amsterdam (13 April) and Stockholm (14 April). At Eurovision, Czechia will be performing fifth in the second semi-final, on 9 May.
