Felix Sandman releases music video for “Part of Me”

Following on from finishing second at this year’s Melodifestivalen, Felix Sandman is thriving in the music industry. He just released the music video for “Part of Me”, one of the singles on his debut album titled EMOTIONS. “You will always be a part of me” The music video shows Felix around a fire, happening to throw numerous items into it. Furthermore, one part of the video sees him flicking through a collection of photos of him and his ex lover, before throwing it in the flames. While this person is physically gone from his life, mentally, the memories with them will always be there. Nonetheless, while Felix says that “you will never be my everything”, he still wishes that. And that the ink on his skin will still mean something regardless of the breakup.  The song was written by Felix alongside David Kjellstrand and Hampus Lindvall. Read part of the lyrics here: Part of meYou will always be a part of meAnd now your ink is stuck onto my skinYeah, it will never turn to nothing, noPart of meWhat we had will always follow meOh, you will never be my everythingIt will never turn to nothing, noFelix Sandman’s “Part of …

Nathan Trent releases a “Killer” new track

No longer Running on Air, done with spreading Good Vibes and out of Secrets, everyone’s favourite Austrian songbird, Nathan Trent, has just come out with an interestingly dark yet quirky new single titled “Killer”. The song (written by Nathan Trent himself) is darker both in it’s visuals and tone than what we’ve come to expect from him recently, while still featuring plenty of youthful energy thanks to a catchy pop-rock tune and Nathan’s signature vocals. Nathan himself describes the song as such: ‘Killer’ puts experiences of past relationships into a very upbeat and energetic song. It’s a wake up call to break free from manipulation and the feeling of imprisonment within a relationship. Filmed in noirish black and white, the video features plenty of appropriately dark imagery, beautiful cinematography, running (of course) and Nathan testing out his Headless Horseman routine right in time for the upcoming Halloween season. But enough throwing words at you, go ahead and check out the video for yourself on YouTube: Or listen to it on Spotify down below: A man, a moon and a tune To remind ourselves of his Eurovision achievements, we have to think back to 2016, when a carefree and head-still-on-my-body Nathan Trent took …

Philipp Kirkorov releases rap single with Egor Kreed and Timati

Philipp Kirkorov is one of Russia’s best selling artists and has been involved in the Eurovision Song Contest for a decade now. Most recently, he produced the Moldovan entry into Eurovision 2018, DoReDoS’s My Lucky Day. He also wrote the Russian entry into Eurovision 2016, Sergey Lazarev’s You Are the Only One which came 3rd in the final. Now, he’s ventured in to rap and has released a new single with rapper Egor Kreed and Timati, Tsvet nastroyeniya chernyy! Philipp’s mood is black The song (the title of which translates to My Mood is Coloured Black) features Philipp and Egor rapping about “bitches” and having an extragavant, rapper lifestyle. As a disclaimer: the lyrics of Timati’s and Egor’s music is often…rather controversial and/or sexist, and may offend readers. On my way out of the house, I chose blackAll my bitches are into blackAll my cars are strictly blackMy entire crew is into black (black)I go for brunettes, though nothing against blondesThey’re just always at the end of the listRocker jeans, black leather, it’s a principleThe stone shines on my pinky, we’re princes atop black stallionsA translated section of the lyrics to Tsvet nastroyeniya chernyy …classy. Mélanie René releases “Dancefloor” as Melyz

Three years after her Eurovision participation, Mélanie René is back with not only new music, but also a new stage name – Melyz. Her first single under her new stage name is “Dancefloor”. I lost my heart on the dancefloor True to its title, “Dancefloor” is an electro pop banger that easily fits in on any nightclub’s playlist. It is a new direction musically with few resemblances to her Eurovision entry “Time To Shine”. However, it’s a well produced and catchy modern track that will no doubt get people to dance the night away. In addition, Melyz showcases impressive vocals – but we already knew she can sing! The music video The music video features two different settings. The first one is set in daylight, with Melyz dressed in a red dress and a leather jacket. The background is subdued and lacking in color, which makes her stand out even more. A hooded figure appears and throughout the video they keep running into and away from each other. The second setting is at night. This time around, Melyz is dressed more casually, sporting a denim jacket and dark shirt. Mélanie René at Eurovision Before her rebranding, she participated at the …

Serhat and Helena Paparizou release a new music video

Tuesday might be one one of the most uneventful days of the week, but that is all about to change with this brand new video featuring Helena Paparizou and Serhat caressing each other on a beach while performing the new version of “Total Disguise”.  Maybe you heard the song already because we talked about it in July. But seeing is believing and there is a whole lot to see here. Words are really not enough to describe everything, but I can try. The video takes place on a sunny beach, featuring lots of sultry looks at the camera as Helena and Serhat try to keep their hands off each other and…and seems like there’s a swing involved at one point and…you know what? I should have stopped at “Words are not enough”. So get ready, close the curtains and follow the video link down below to experience it all yourself : This should come with a warning for anyone under 18 Did you know… Once upon a time there was a man with a monocle. His name was Serhat and his story we are here to chronicle. His ballad was called “I didn’t know” and he delieverd it wearing a cute …

Michal Szpak drops a new album called “Dreamer”

Autumn (or Fall) is right around the corner, which means an explosion of colo(-u)rs and fallen leaves over most of Europe. It also means raking, Lots and lots of raking. But something else fell recently and that was a brand new Album titled “Dreamer” by a man who knows a thing or two about colors: Michal Szpak. Accompanying the album’s release is a new single titled “Rainbow”. Follow that and you’ll find Michael Szpak standing at the end of it dressed in all gold. If that’s not enticing enough, then the lyric video finds Michael conjuring up the emotions fit for a beautiful slow ballad like this all the while staring intently at a ceiling mike. Of course the video also features plenty of rainbow tones such as light beige, dark beige and just plain old beige. Maybe a hint of orange thrown in there for good measure…Give it a watch down below: Tuesday’s color? GOLD But that’s just a small taste of everything. As mentioned above, Michal Szpak has let his imagination flow and dreamt up an entire album’s worth of new songs. Featuring both soft piano ballads like Rainbow as well as tunes to rock out to (and even a …

Anouk deals with exes in new single

One of the Netherlands’ biggest stars, Anouk, is back with a new single. Once again opting for a Dutch language song, Het Is Klaar, deals with Anouk’s exes. And she isn’t mellow… Exes to deal with “I’ve had it with your bloody ugly face”, sings the 43 year old songstress in her new effort. The song offers an inside look in how Anouk looks back at her exes. She tells them all they’re worthless, odious men. The title translates as “It’s Done”, referring to her feelings towards her exes. Furthermore, the lyrics speak of being cheated on, taking hits and being lied to. It’s fair to say that the described relationships haven’t been the happiest. Drifting away from the rock of her early career or the soul she showcased after Eurovision, she has now landed with a more R&B style. She is accompanied by a choir style backing vocal. Anouk herself delivers a more powerful vocal than she showed in other recent songs. The single will be part of Anouk’s new album, Wen D’r Maar Aan, which translates to “Get used to it”, perhaps referring to her new style. A tutorial to kill The video for Het Is Klaar can be described as a tutorial to kill. …
