Gianni Morandi

Gianni Morandi, full name Gian Luigi Morandi, is a household name in Italy having sold over 50 million records and produced many hits throughout his career of over 60 years. Born in the village of Moghidoro in the Emilia-Romagna region in 1944 he began his career in 1962 and returns to Sanremo as a performer for the first time in 22 years making it one of the most awaited returns. He won the 1987 edition of the show with “Si può dare di più” together with Umberto Tozzi and Raf. He also hosted the show on two occasions in 2011 and 2012. Morandi is a familiar face for the Eurovision world too having participated in 1970 in Amsterdam with his entry “Occhi di Ragazza” where he finished eight. He has published more than 30 albums and has performed in many concert halls around the world, including US and Canada. On top of his music career he has also been active as a TV host and acted in both movies and miniseries.
Giusy Ferreri

Giusy Ferreri, stage name of Giuseppa Gaetana Ferreri, was born in Palermo in Sicily in 1979 and grew up in Abbiategrasso in the Milan metropolitan area. She made her first steps in the music industry starting in the late 90s but her real breakthrough came in 2008 when she participated to the first edition of the Italian X Factor where she was the runner-up. She sold more than 2 million records, making her one of the most successful singers whose career started from a talent show. Over the years, she has produced a number of hits, including “Non ti scordar mai me”, “A novembre”, “Amore e Capoeira” and “Roma-Bangkok” songs with which she topped the charts for a record-breaking 47 weeks. She returns to Sanremo for the first time since 2017, when she sang her song “Fa Talmente Male” but failed to make it to the final evening of the show.
La Rappresentante di Lista

The duo La Rappresentante di Lista returns to Sanremo for the second year in a row having participated in 2021 with “Amare” finishing in 11th place. The group consists of Veronica Lucchesi and Dario Mangiaracina. Veronica is originally from Viareggio in Tuscany while in Dario is from Palermo in Sicily and trained as a medical doctor before entering the music scene. They joined forces to form a band in 2011 after meeting during the rehearsal of a theatre show. They have published four albums, most recently in 2021 and released 12 singles.
