Sanja Vucic – ‘Omadjijan’
After three years as part of one of Balkan’s most successful girl groups, Sanja Vucic returns to her natural home as a solo artist. Of course as the lead and main writer of Hurricane’s music, there are some reminders of what drew us all in to the trio in her new single. In ‘Omadjijan’ Sanja brings all the flavour to this banger that layers every astral and bewitching metaphor with equally enchanting Balkan beats.
Stefania – ‘My My My’
Not content with life as a pop star, Greece’s Eurovision 2021 star Stefania is turning her hand to acting as well. For her big screen debut, Stefania becomes Noah in Misfit: The Switch, a classic life swap, coming-of-age comedy. Besides the acting and dancing, she also sings the lead track for the film, ‘My My My’. A light-hearted pop song about how a special person in her life makes her feel.
Circus Mircus – ‘Soul Pop’
Last but not least on New Music Friday are Georgia’s Eurovision 2022 indie band, Circus Mircus. Finally the group release their long-awaited follow up to, ‘Lock Me In’ after the release of live performance track, ‘Love Letters‘. Exactly what it says on the tin, ‘Soul Pop’ incorporates both in this funky toe-tapper that blends with their alternative sound.
