Broadcaster Suspilne have announced the longlist of ten participants for the Ukrainian National Selection for Junior Eurovision 2023. These ten were selected among 143 participants who applied for the selection when it opened in June.

The longlisted participants are:

1. 3ʼbeauties band. Vladyslava Volynets (13), Oleksandra Korovytska (13) and Anna Tkach (12), from Lutsk.
2. POLINA BABIY. 14 years old, originally from Odesa, temporarily living in Bratislava, Slovakia.
3. Anastasia Belibova. 12 years old, originally from Mykolaiv, currently living in Yuzhnoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region.
4. Denys Hryshchuk. 12 years old, originally from Novovolynsk, Volyn region, temporarily living in Lublin, Poland.
5. Anastasia Dymyd. 9 years old, from the village of Hoshiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
6. Anna Doina. 13 years old, Kyiv. 
7. Artem Kotenko. 11 years old, from Okhtyrka, Sumy region.
8. Anastasia Piekh. 12 years old, from Chervonohrad, Lviv region.
9. Kateryna Yavorska. 13 years old, Volytsia village, Lviv region.
10. Nika Yarovenko. 14 years old, Piskivka village, Kyiv region.

Auditions will be held for these young artists, with the final selection going through to a national final in October. The winner will represent Ukraine at November’s 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Nice, France. Zlata Dziunka represented Ukraine at the 2022 contest in Yerevan with the song ‘Nezlamna (Unbreakable)’.

Junior Eurovision 2023

France won the 20th Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan, Armenia with Lissandro and “Oh Maman!”. This will be the second time France has hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, only two years after hosting the 2021 contest in the French capital of Paris.
