This was the first song to be revealed for Eurosong and I immediately thought it sounded like a winner. I tried to stay open to all the other songs that week, and the selection they’ve made is honestly really good with lots of high quality songs, but “Love Me Like I Do” kept standing out for me. It’s radio friendly but not boring in any way! Hopefully this can bring Ireland the qualification they deserve.

Finally, RTÉ have woken up and given the Irish what they have been asking for for years! Overall they have put together a strong and diverse lineup of songs that actually sound competitive and what you would hear on local Irish radio networks. Of course, the acts still have to survive performing in that tin shed studio. Which is why I believe that gives Erica the best chance. ‘Love Me Like I Do’ is a classic pop song that I could imagine Swedish singer Agnes, releasing and performing. There are some great moments for Erica to show off her vocal range. If everyone is sending crazy entries this year, then there’s a place for a pop song to cut through and qualify with televoters.
