ESCXTRA are live from Lisbon for day 4 of rehearsals ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018! The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Georgia, Poland, Malta, Hungary, Latvia, Sweden, Montenegro, Slovenia and Ukraine.

The first artist to rehearse is Christabelle for Malta. We have just watched their first run through of Taboo live on screen and here is our initial reaction.
Staging
Christabelle has brought four double-sided screens with her! The opening shots focus on Christabelle stood in the centre of the four screens which surround her, positioned at diagonal angles. They’ve recreated the people in the box from MESC by putting videos onto the screens of people in the box. There’s also an augmented reality heart being used too which appears over her chest.
In the second verse, Christabelle comes out of the screen cube and a dancer takes her place in the middle of the screen cube instead. Lasers are used in the second chorus and instrumental break.
The stage lighting is set up with a mostly blue background but all the focus light on Christabelle herself AND the dancer which joins later are in red.
Vocals
There is no doubt about it, her vocals are exceptional. An amazing rehearsal from Christabelle today.
Costumes
Black turtle neck, long sleeve tight fit and a black leather skirt with an uneven hemline showing off some leg but not too much.
